Cooling Tower Treatment Chemicals
Cooling towers are an integral part of various processing industries. It is important to establish and maintain appropriate cooling conditions to ensure the optimum performance. It can be easily achieved using specially designed and selective cooling tower water treatment chemicals. In the absence of an effective water treatment system, a cooling water system can suffer from corrosion, scale, fouling, organic growth, and may transform into a breeding ground for harmful bacteria such as Legionella. Aztec H2O Services addresses the requirements of cooling water treatment by providing an appreciable range of high-performance cooling tower water treatment chemicals. These chemicals are formulated to improve the performance of water treatment systems, and are known to deliver significant benefits to users.
Benefits of our Cooling Water Treatment Chemicals
Benefits of our Cooling Water Treatment Chemicals
- Corrosion Inhibition: Our formulations feature corrosion inhibitors that penetrate into the water and disperse organic deposits on iron and mild steel, thereby reducing the chances of corrosion. There are also chemicals with brass/copper corrosion inhibitors that can resist oxidizing chemicals such as bromine and chlorine.
- Scaling Control: Fouling and deposition are two main challenges faced by cooling tower operators. Our cooling water chemicals feature an influential blend of organic phosphonates with polymeric dispersants or crystal modifying compounds. These dispersants help prevent deposition of minerals in extremely alkaline and hard water. Also, these chemicals are equipped with dual polymeric dispersants that help in the removal of sulfates, calcium carbonates, and dirt and iron particles in water. In short, these chemicals help keep the cooling system clean and running efficiently by removing the old scale deposits.
- Available in Different Forms: We provide the chemicals in solid tablets as well as liquid forms.
- Easy to Use: The chemicals in solid tablet forms can be carried to the treatment towers, and dissolved in water easily. Dry chemical feeders are low cost and easy to install. The liquid chemicals are also provided in anti-spill, easy-to-use cans.
- No Restricted Ingredients: Our AZ-CW-409 and AZ-CW-509 cooling water treatment chemicals contain no restricted ingredients or heavy metals, which means the water treated by them can be discharged to any sanitary sewers.

Safe - Helps Clean Cooling Towers On Line - Reduces Biocide Use
Product Description
- Super concentrated: 5.0 - 30 ounces treats 1000 gallons of cooling tower water.
- Penetrates and lifts biomass, slime and dirt from cooling tower and pipe surfaces.
- Reduces corrosion by cleaning biofilms that can create localized corrosion cells.
- Helps deprive organisms of food by preventing nutrient rich biomass from forming and accumulating.
- Reduces the amount of biocide needed to kill organisms by helping flush the organisms into the main cooling tower water where biocides can contact and destroy them.
- Aids scale control by keeping surfaces clean and making it more difficult for calcium to form crystals on the interior surfaces of the cooling towers, pipes and heat exchangers.
- Disperses iron oxide rust and dirt.
- Reducing biomass deposits can deprive Legionella pneumophila bacteria of an environment to thrive.
- BD200 should be fed at a rate of 5.0 - 30 liquid ounces per 1000 gallons of water 1 -3 times per week to keep clean surfaces clean.
- For best results, physically clean the cooling tower noticeably dirty.
- For systems that foul easily or are exposed to higher levels of dirt and contaminants, double the amount of BD200 and feed 2-3 times per week.
- BD200 is intended to be used in conjunction with EPA registered biocides for best results.
- BD200 can be fed 30-minutes to 1-hour prior to feeding a biocide to help disperse micro-organisms into the bulk cooling tower water to enhance kill.
- BD200 can clean heavily fouled systems; care needs to be taken not to plug screens, small lines and heat exchangers.
- BD200 can be shipped UPS in small containers.

- Helps remove dirt, oil, mill scale, rust and debris from new and old piping and heat exchanger surfaces.
- NOT Compatible with aluminum. Use Sentinel X400 for systems containing aluminum.
- Safe to use, environmentally friendly, can be flushed to sanitary sewers.
- Can be used in cooling towers as a pre-cleaning agent to help lift and remove deposits that are difficult to reach and physically remove.
- Mixes quickly in cold and hot water and is safer to use than TSP or caustic detergent cleaners.
- Especially effective in new construction piping to help remove cutting oils and flux from new piping. Not intended for use in potable domestic drinking water lines.
- Non hazardous, can be UPS shipped in 5-gallon containers
- ECO-Green - PreClean should be fed at a rate of 2 - 5 liquid ounces per 100 gallons of water in systems that are lightly fouled. For heavily fouled systems or new construction piping, use 12 ounces to 1-gallon per 100 gallons of water.
- Feed by hand, bypass feeder or chemical pump into the re-circulating water and allow to circulation for 6 -24 hours. After circulation thoroughly flush until the water is clear. Take precautions in heavily fouled systems where large amounts of dirt, scale and deposits may plug screens, small lines and heat exchangers.
- Heating the water will increase the cleaning action of ECO-Green - PreClean. Keep temperatures below 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
