- Can be tested in less than 30-seconds with a simple test kit.
- Contains a powerful blend of organic phosphonates with polymeric dispersants/crystal modifying compounds for control of scale in cooling systems with extreme hard and alkaline water without the use of acid.
- Contains a dual polymeric dispersing system for calcium carbonate, sulfates, iron and dirt particles. This chemical will help keep the cooling system cleaner and will aid in removing old scale that may have developed in the cooling tower.
- Utilizes a robust and resilient filming corrosion protector chemical that helps reduce iron and mild steel corrosion.
- Has added copper/brass corrosion inhibitors that are resistant to oxidizing chemicals such as chlorine and bromine.
- CW409 is intended for use in re-circulating cooling systems and cooling towers to control scale and corrosion.
- Use O.P. Test Kit P.N.#CNPK158 to test CW-409. The recommended test range is 10 ? 20 total drops. If the test results are high or low, see Cannon Water Technology Inc.'s "What To Do If Test Results Are Out Of Range".
- CW409 contains no heavy metals or restricted ingredients and water treated with CW409 can be discharged to sanitary sewer. Avoid discharging any cooling tower water to storm drains or open bodies of water.
- Oxidizing biocides such as chlorine and bromine can be used in systems treated with CW409 so long as the concentration of chlorine or bromine does not exceed 3 ppm.
- CW409 is compatible with all non-oxidizing biocides with the exception of cationic quaternary ammonium compounds.
- CW409 can be shipped UPS in 5 gallon containers. Larger sizes shipped by common carrier.

- Designed for steam boilers where more than 80% of the steam condenses into water and returns to the boiler as condensate. Easy to apply. Easy to test. Can be shipped UPS Ground in 5-gallon containers.
- Balanced blend of nitrite, borax, azole and polymeric organic dispersants. Protects iron, copper and brass metals.
- Has dedicated iron oxide dispersants to retard rust deposits.
- Contains a steam line treatment that neutralizes low acidic pH in the condensate return lines.
- Can be used on steam boilers that have hard water makeup, however, for best results soften makeup water.
- BW409 is intended for use in boilers operating in the low and medium pressure range below 300 psi.
- This boiler chemistry has been successfully used in schools, high-rise buildings and apartment buildings where steam is used for heating and there is less than 20% loss of condensate.
- BW409 can be fed by hand or with a chemical metering pump connected to the feed water storage tank or feed water line. If possible, interlock the chemical metering pump to the boiler feed water pump so that chemical is fed in proportion to load. Feed one gallon per 100 gallons of boiler water.
- Use Nitrite Test Kit P.N.# CNTK3300-Z to test for BW409. The recommended test range is 800 - 1500 ppm as Sodium Nitrite.

Membrane Cleaners
